help with a christmas gift... please?

I have a book that I want to give a very dear friend of mine for Christmas.  Russian is his first language, and I wanted to write a short note inside the front cover in russian.  This is what I would like it to say, although I know that often the translations aren't precise.  The 'real' man reference is to the book "Things every real man should know"  Thanks so much for your help!!

It's that middle line that is getting me, because I know that no matter how I put it, if I do a direct translation of the words it is NOT going to come out saying what I want it to say....

Need help finding the candle and need help on getting the hero sword. I know how to get to the hero sword but cant pic it up. How do u pick up the hero sword.
